Our History

Cole Tool & Die Company, began as Cole's Machine Shop, in 1933 by Floyd Cole in Mansfield, Ohio. They produced repair parts for Cole Trucklocal manufacturers. During the 1940's and through out World War 2, Cole's Machine Shop was granted government contracts, whichhelped its growth.

Cole Tool & Die has developed a mangement team and strategy that is keeping them current with technology, quality and production and that will continue to provide their success in the future. In 1950's the company began conducting business out-of-state, and moved to its present location on Ashland Rd. Cole's Machine Shop became Cole Tool & Die Company when Floyd brought his son David in as a partner in 1953. Die production had grown to slightly more than half of their business.

In 1967 David took over the operation of Cole Tool & Die from his father. The tool and die portionexpanded to 85% of the company'sproduction. Alan Cole took over the company from his father in 1988. The global economy created a greater need for stampings, so Cole Tool & Die expanded into providing high quality stampings.
