Our History
Cole Tooling & Stamping, began as Cole's Machine Shop, in 1933 by Floyd Cole in Mansfield, Ohio. They produced repair parts for local manufacturers. During the 1940's and throughout World War 2, Cole's Machine Shop was granted government contracts, whichhelped its growth.
Cole Tooling & Stamping has developed a mangement team and strategy that has kept them current with technology, quality and production and that will continue to provide their success in the future. In 1950's the company began conducting business out-of-state, and moved to Ashland Rd before expanding to it's current location on St. Route 314. Cole's Machine Shop became Cole Tool & Die Company when Floyd brought his son David in as a partner in 1953. Die production had grown to slightly more than half of their business.
In 1967 David took over the operation of Cole Tooling & Stamping from his father. The tool and die portion expanded to 85% of the company'sproduction. Alan Cole took over the company from his father in 1988. The global economy created a greater need for stampings. Cole Tool & Die expanded to providing a higher quality stampings service in a larger and more efficent facility and is now operating under the name Cole Tooling & Stamping. Cole Tooling & Stamping that has been passed from generation to generation; the family owned company continues to expand and thrive in todays market.
